The Fighting Marines (1935) is a Mascot movie serial. It was the last serial ever produced by Mascot. The studio was bought out and merged with others to become Republic Pictures. This new company went on to become the most famous of the serial producing studios, starting with Darkest Africa in 1936. Future Republic Producer Franklin Adreon first became involved with serials with this production. The former regular Marine then a Marine Corps Reserve officer was a technical consultant and played the small role of Captain Holmes in the later chapters.

Bør Børson Jr. is a 1974 Norwegian musical film directed by Jan Erik Düring, starring Rolv Wesenlund, Britt Langlie and Sølvi Wang. The film is based on a novel by Johan Falkberget. Bør Børson Jr. (Wesenlund) is a peasant son with great ambitions. He starts a grocery store and – after some initial problems – makes a good deal of money. He then leaves for Oslo, where he makes a fortune in the stock trade. Eventually, he returns to his hometown, where he holds a lavish wedding with his childhood sweetheart. The film contained popular songs such as "Å æ kjinne ein kar", "Børs Song" and "Wienerbrød-tango", first introduced at the stage version of the musical in 1972.

It was Petersen's first theatrical feature film, and was based on the novel of the same name by Horst Bosetzky, published anonymously under his pseudonym -ky. The film is a psychological thriller and focuses on the intense conflict between a university professor and a blackmailer. The film features Klaus Schwarzkopf and Jürgen Prochnow as the two main characters and won two Bundesfilmpreise.

Tell the Truth (German: Sag' die Wahrheit) is a 1946 German comedy film directed by Helmut Weiss and starring Gustav Fröhlich, Mady Rahl, and Ingeborg von Kusserow. The film had a troubled production, and was originally filming in the final days of the Nazi era with Heinz Rühmann and his wife Hertha Feiler in the lead roles. Production was halted when Soviet forces took control of the Tempelhof Studios during the Battle of Berlin. The film was then remade in the British sector of Berlin with different leads but using substantial amounts of footage already shot during the previous production. The film's sets were designed by Ernst H. Albrecht.
